David DeAngelo is a well known entrepreneur and dating coach. His presence within the seduction community has been important on a number of levels.
DeAngelo believes that conditioning in our society has dramatically increased mens failure rate with the opposite sex. His major contention is that "attraction isn't a choice" -- women cannot be pushed or 'bribed' into experiencing attraction. DeAngelo says that a woman will feel attraction naturally when she recognizes that a man possesses particular qualities such as confidence, humor and independence. This notion gave birth to his most widely known concept: 'Cocky, Funny.' There are some men in the community who dispute the effectiveness of the technique, but David would probably say that they are using one more than the other (perhaps too much 'cocky' and not enough 'funny') and an imbalance has occurred.
Despite David DeAngelo's significant contributions to the continued growth of the Seduction Community, he was somewhat slighted in Neil Strauss' bestseller, 'The Game,' and painted as a skilled marketer who recognized a business opportunity in the blossoming Pickup industry.
